The Buddha is attended by Indra (photo left, wearing a crown) and four-headed Brahma (photo right, holding a parasol). Canonically, Brahma should be on the viewer's left, and Indra on the viewer's right (Descent From Trayastrimsha Heaven), but either arrangement is possible in works of art.
