Kataluwa Purvarama Temple

The temple is located near Koggala, on the southern coast just east of Galle (see: mysrilankaholidays.com, scrolling down for an exterior view). "Purwarama" is a common alternate spelling. The temple is a 13th century foundation, refurbished in the 19th century. Seen here is a guardian figure in abhaya (fear-not) mudra.
