Gyeongcheonsa Pagoda

National Treasure #86
Late Goryeo dynasty, 1348
13m (43 ft) high
National Museum of Korea, Seoul

It is admirable to display an entire pagoda, especially a beautiful marble pagoda that is ten stories high, inside a modern museum. The Gyeongcheonsa pagoda was first built at the foot of Mt. Buso in 1348, moved wholesale to Japan during the occupation, returned to Korea in 1960, and subsequently installed first in Gyeongbokgung and later in the National Museum.
