Meiji-jo in Tokyo is a Shinto shrine, that was dedicated in 1920 for the souls of Emperor Meiji and his Empress. It has a special place in the hearts of Japanese people, marking as it does the Meiji Restoration and dividing the medieval from modern Japan. We don't show its extensive grounds here, just a short course from the gate to the the main building of the complex. For more information, see:
