Asakusa Shrine Tokyo, Japan

The shrine was built in 1649. It is consecrated to three deified humans - two brothers and their lord. According to legend, the brothers miraculously fished a golden image of Kannon out of the Sumidagawa river in 628 AD, and their lord enshrined it in the Asakusa Kannon Temple.
