Enthroned Serpent

A modern shrine, near the ancient memorials of Gunung Kawi, foregrounds an enthroned naga (closeup). It is hard to determine the age of this statue, or the nature of its original association with the site. It is wrapped in an honorific cloth that is different from the usual chequered cloth.
