Virupaksha Temple

Virupaksha and its "sister" temple, Mallikarjuna, were built c. 745 by two sisters, queens of Vikramaditya II (733-746). This is the north face of Virupaksha, seen behind its low enclosure wall from the vicinity of Sangameshvara Temple to the north.
