Mallikarjuna Temple

Pattadakal, Karnataka

The "sister" temples of Mallikarjuna and Virupaksha were built c. 745 by two sisters, queens of Vikramaditya II (733-746). In this photo, the east face of Mallikarjuna is seen at photo center and left, with Kashivishvanatha Temple at photo right.
