Corbeled Dome

Keshava Temple, Somnathpur

The corbeling is masked by the dome's elaborate banded decoration; the "sawtooth" marks represent tiny lotus buds, like the large pendant bud in the center of the dome. A gallery of tiny figures, barely visible in front of miniature columns in the lower band, overlooks the space below.
