Chitrakarini Temple

Late 13th century

This small temple has only a deul (there is no jagamohan, contra Monuments of India, p. 224). Chitrakarini is agreeably situated in well-kept, park-like grounds near the Lingaraja. Its entrance from the busy street is easy to miss, but well worth looking for. The temple's keeper is a pleasant, knowledgeable sort of fellow who is happy to show visitors around his temple. He well deserves the small tip that is requested.
