Temple of Mandulis at Kalabsha

Temple of Mandulis

New Kalabsha, Egypt (map)

The Augustan temple of Mandulis, a Nubian god, was originally located at Kalabsha, about 40km south of the first cataract in Nubia. In order to save it from the waters rising behind the dam, the temple was moved to New Kalabsha, just south of the High Dam.
