Closeup of the southern (left) colossus. If you are not impressed by its ruined state, remember that the full height of a person would not even reach up to this statue's feet. Then remember that it is 3350 years old, and is likely, with proper conservation, to remain for thousands of years to come, when photographer and viewer alike have long since passed to dust.
