Small Golden Roof HallTa'er Si, Xining Overlooking the north courtyard is the Small Golden Roof Hall (1692), also called the Guardian Deities Hall. Dedicated to animal spirits, its upper story is occupied by stuffed ungulates (sheep, deer, goats, etc.) wrapped in prayer scarves. The building is a mixture of Tibetan (walls) and Chinese (roof) architecture. |
