Altar Sculptures

East Hall, Foguang Si

The long platform altar inside the East Hall enshrines three Buddhas: Shakyamuni (shown here), Amitabha, and Maitreya, with their attendants¹. The unfortunate iron grill was erected some time ago to protect the precious statues from thievery.
