A Garden To Linger In, Suzhou

This picturesque walkway, covered with foliage, is seen from Hanbi Mountain Villa. Willow and other trees in the background enhance the composition, which is built on a rocky embankment that is mostly hidden by the foliage. The four elements of the classical garden - rocks, foliage, water, and built structures - are seen here, as in most of these garden photos, each view having its own proportions and effects.
