Ciyun Cave

Dragon Gate, Kunming

This cave was the home of Wu Laiqing as he worked arduously on the grottoes. He wrote this poem:

Great talent, hard work:
Upon the steep cliff, a divine terrace was chiseled.
Though I could not ascend through the Buddhist caves,
Chisel after chisel will make it to the Dragon Gate.

The central deity is a form of Guanyin, with Golden Boy and Jade Girl.
