This case includes some stemmed greyware that was a predecessor of Longshan eggshell black (2600-2000 BC; see later page). According to Treasures From A Swallow Garden, cat. #20 p.74 and cat.#26 p.80, the greyware was handmade from clay tempered with fine sand, then refined on a slow wheel and painted black.

Additional items displayed here include a stand that is interrupted by a ring (top, 3d from left) and a stand, possibly a headrest, with a curved top and wide base (bottom, 4th from right).
