Stone Bell Mountain

Yunnan, between Dali and Lijiang

The 16 Buddhist grottoes of Stone Bell Mountain (Shi Zhong Shan) were carved out during the Nanzhao Kingdom, and are part of the larger Shibao Shan (Stone Treasure Mountain) park. It is located 140 km (90 mi) north of Dali, halfway along the road to Lijiang.
