Marquis Wu (Zhuge Liang, 181-234) was a famous strategist, statesman, and inventor during the Three Kingdoms period. The prime minister of the Kingdom of Shu, his story is told in the famous novel "Romance of the Three Kingdoms." Chengdu (ancient Shu) is located in the modern province of Sichuan.
