Gate of Supreme Harmony (Taihe Men)

The view looks north towards the Gate of Supreme Harmony. The important 9-bay gate is capped by a double-eaved, hip-and-gable roof and approached by a triple staircase. Only the emperor could use the central ramp of the staircase, decorated with a marble dragon relief, over which he was carried in a sedan chair.
